Nordic Windpower Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

BERKELEY, Calif., June 23 /PRNewswire/ — Nordic Windpower Ltd., the leading company manufacturing and selling innovative, utility-scale wind turbines based on proven Swedish technology, today announced that Prakash Ramachandran, a finance expert in growth-oriented technology businesses and international markets, has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer and member of its Board of Directors.

Prakash Ramachandran has more than 20 years of experience in high level finance with rapidly growing technology companies in the US and internationally. Most recently, Prakash was CFO at Novariant, Inc., a supplier of GPS-based machine control products for industrial markets such as agriculture and mining. During his five-year tenure, Novariant grew revenues tenfold, raised more than $40 million, closed two key strategic acquisitions, and grew from 15 to 150 employees worldwide.
Previously, Prakash directed finance for Sonicity, a software company with multi-casting technology for Internet streaming, funded by Sony Corporation. Prior to Sonicity, he worked in finance in Hong Kong, including five years as Sonex Group CFO, at which time, the company revenues grew from $100 to $300 million. He led the company’s expansion into China, India, Asia and South America.
Prakash has a Master of Science degree in management from Stanford Business School, Sloan Fellows Program. He is a chartered accountant of India and chartered management accountant of the UK.

City of Winston-Salem Recycles Davis Cup Banners Into Unique Tote Bags
